A working rice paddy runs through the middle of this resort, which is either the most Bali thing possible or a pointed joke at every other Bali resort. The architecture lands closer to brutalist than boutique, with exposed concrete, industrial framing, and flashes of crimson that read as deliberate provocation. Some villas have private pools facing the terraces directly. Pererenan still has actual rice fields reaching the beach, which is the whole point of staying here over Canggu proper.
