The staircase climb to this three-Michelin-starred Modern French dining room in Pierre Gagnaire's Mayfair townhouse is half the experience, the anticipation building through every gilded, riotously coloured floor on the way up. Once seated, the kitchen sends out intricate multi-dish courses where a single protein arrives in several preparations at once, which sounds like a culinary thesis but somehow reads as generosity. Formal, grand, and absolutely not for a Tuesday-night pizza mood.
