Flagstone floors, wooden beams, beer poured from casks behind the bar: this old Cornish pub in the village of St Kew has been perfecting the gastropub formula before anyone called it that. The menu leans into local seafood and countryside produce, and the garden earns its keep on a warm afternoon. It sits close enough to the north Cornwall coast to double as a very reasonable excuse to extend a coastal walk by two hours.
