Despite the name, there's no gravel drive or ancestral portraits here: Stanwell House is a Georgian townhouse boutique hotel sitting right on Lymington's high street, a short walk from the quay where the New Forest effectively runs out of land. Rooms vary enough in size and layout that none feel like standard-issue, and three social spaces, including a restaurant, an orangery, and the Salt Bar, keep the place from feeling purely residential.
