    A wood-fired stove does the cooking here, which tells you something about the pace of lunch at this country gasthaus opposite the parish church in a small Styrian village. The kitchen leans on its own garden and fish pond, so the menu follows the season rather than a formula. The Michelin Guide awarded it a Bib Gourmand. Hearty, unhurried, and very much the kind of place where someone will explain exactly where your food came from.
