The charcoal grill does a lot of the talking at this gastropub in Glasgow's West End, where the team behind Cail Bruich have turned a former oyster spot into a proper neighbourhood bar with serious kitchen ambitions. The Michelin Guide handed it a Bib Gourmand, and the cocktail list is long enough to stall any decision about food. The room is cool without trying too hard, and the set menu is where the value quietly announces itself.
