Fourteen mod-Balinese villas on a forested mountainside above Lovina Bay, about as far as you can get from the Denpasar party circuit, which is largely the point. This small resort reads less like a traditional villa compound and more like a sleek residential complex that remembered where it was, with plunge pools, private pavilions, and open-air spa treatments. The three-hour drive from the airport is a commitment; the guests who make it tend to stay put.
