A Victorian coaching inn in the Cairngorms, bought by Swiss art gallerists and filled floor to ceiling with museum-grade works, which means you're sleeping inside someone's very serious collection. The rooms run ornate rather than spare, the spa being the lone exception. Multiple bars and dining rooms include a whisky bar stocked with considerable conviction. The Michelin Guide awarded it 2 Keys.
