The Island Lodge

A twelve-room boutique hotel on Unicorn Island in the Mekong Delta, which is either the best address in Vietnam or something a child made up, and it turns out to be both. The style is classic craftsmanship over design theatrics, the pace is slow by design, and the restaurant mixes Vietnamese cooking with French fare named for the hotelier's grandparents.
