The Penny Bun

The name comes from a wild mushroom that grows in the nearby woods, which tells you something about this boutique inn's sensibility before you've even walked in. Five rooms, no screens, candlelight in the evenings, and locally sourced food and drink anchor the stay. The North Yorkshire countryside starts right at the front door. It's a country pub that took the sleeping-over part seriously.
