The Royal Oak
Modern British
A Michelin-starred pub in a tiny Warwickshire village where game can be shot to order and the kitchen takes a farm-to-fork approach seriously enough that the menu shifts with what's available. Dishes run to three or four components each, which sounds spare until the food arrives. The room reads like an old-school country local, the kind that's been around forever, though the cooking belongs to somewhere more ambitious.
