    Egypt is mid-construction on a brand-new capital city in the desert, and this St. Regis is currently the only luxury hotel in it, which makes for an unusual check-in experience. Marble columns, 270 rooms, 80 suites, 14 villas, and a choice of Egyptian or Italian dining in the evenings. The Grand Opera House is a short walk away, assuming the pedestrian bridge is finished by the time you arrive.
