    A resort on a quiet beachfront stretch south of central Pattaya, The Standard brings its signature 1960s-inflected looseness to Na Jomtien across 161 rooms and lush gardens. The property stacks up venues the way some resorts stack up sun loungers: a Mexican-meets-Thai beach club, a seafood grill, a Tiki bar with an ice bath and mud lounge, and a surf shack serving cold beers. Leaving is optional, and they seem to know it.
