The Tides Inn sits on its own peninsula off the Chesapeake Bay, which means water in every direction and a dock that practically dares you to do nothing all afternoon. It's a full-service waterfront resort, refreshed a few years back with nautical touches and new suites, where staff lead nature tours and host winemaker evenings but also know when to quietly disappear. Old-school in the best way, with none of the irony.
