The preserved door of the old Ichijo branch marks the entrance here, a quiet signal that Kamazaki Onsen has been in the same family's hands for an almost unreasonable stretch of time. This ryokan-style inn has eleven rooms, each with a terrace and open-air bath over the river. Meals arrive privately, often outside, with seasonal food from the surrounding region. The sound of water is more or less constant.
