The open kitchen here is less a cooking station than a proscenium arch, with all six tables angled toward the chefs like a very intimate theatre. It's a tasting menu restaurant in Parkstone, run as a genuine family operation. Dish descriptions on the menu are almost aggressively brief, which does nothing to prepare you for what actually arrives, local and seasonal ingredients coaxed into something considerably more elaborate than the words let on.
