    A vaulted cellar beneath a village hotel, a few steps down from the courtyard, with a glass-paned kitchen you pass on the way to your table. This is a modern seasonal restaurant in the Palatinate wine country, named after a Brothers Grimm fairy tale and decorated to match, old stonework alongside clean contemporary lines. The set menu offers choices at each course, which is a small mercy when everything sounds good.
