The views from these low-slung villas take in both the Corsican maquis and the old citadel itself, so the name is doing real work. Version Maquis Citadelle is a modern resort above Bonifacio, all clean lines and generous terraces where the rustic-Corsica aesthetic has been politely declined. The pool deck, a Biologique Recherche spa, and a poolside restaurant leaning into the island's Italian culinary streak keep guests occupied. It holds a Michelin Key.
