Hand-painted frescoes and a spiral staircase that survived into the present intact set the tone at this seven-suite guesthouse in S-chanf, perched above the Engadin Valley. The owner is a former gallerist, and the interiors mix restored original details with flea-market antiques and rotating art shows. Pine floors, wood-beam ceilings, and the occasional tartan suite round things out. Homemade breakfast and afternoon cocktails in the library are included.
