    A converted historical villa in a quiet park just outside Basel, set up as a proper sit-down restaurant with a modern interior that somehow still feels like someone's very elegant home. Old family portraits of the Thomi-Hopf dynasty line the walls, which is either charming or slightly haunting depending on your seat. The kitchen runs classic French with seasonal and regional ingredients, and the garden terrace fills up fast on warm days.
