Kea is the Cycladic island that the crowds haven't fully discovered yet, which makes its shoreline village of Vourkari feel like a quiet reward. Ydor is a villa-style boutique hotel where two dozen rooms and suites mix traditional Greek touches with clean contemporary lines, most with terraces pointing at the Aegean. The spa is genuinely lovely, and the restaurant, Mizu, goes the Japanese-Mediterranean route, which sounds unlikely and somehow works.
