Zur Waage M.E.B.
Regional German
A terrace over the Leda River, a view of the museum harbour, and shrimp soup on the menu: this is a traditional regional restaurant that has been doing its thing in the centre of Leer for long enough that the chef trained here as an apprentice before eventually running the place. The room leans into old inn character with maritime accents, and the kitchen keeps close to North Sea and seasonal produce. Lunch runs a little simpler than dinner.
