The Best Seafood Near Azabu Yukimura, by the Record

  1. Rank 1. Ubuka

    Seafood

Shellfish devotion drove the chef here, and the menu reads like a personal manifesto: crab and prawn in every direction, some following kaiseki tradition, others veering French, including a hair crab terrine that would feel at home in Lyon. A Michelin-starred seafood restaurant in Shinjuku, snug and perpetually booked. Portions run generous, presumably because the chef worries you haven't had enough crab yet, and the meal closes with crab and vegetables over rice in an earthenware pot.

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. It runs on the scored places nearby: more good stuff within reach, higher score. If it looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
