Rank 1. Big Ray's Fish Camp
Seafood
A seafood shack on Interbay Boulevard that could pass for a bait shop if you weren't paying attention. You order at the counter, pick a menu off the board, and settle into a picnic table under a tent. The fried grouper sandwich is the house classic, but the lobster tail corn dog beside a pile of fries suggests someone is having more fun back there than the surroundings imply. Finish with the key lime pie and feel no guilt about it.

Rank 2. The Pearl
Seafood
A pie-only dessert menu handled by a dedicated pastry chef is either a bold statement or a confession, and at The Pearl it reads as both. This Channelside seafood spot fills out a mixed-use building with a big, shareable American menu, raw and fried oysters, seafood towers, and fish and chips for when you're feeling sensible. The room mixes contemporary with maritime nostalgia, and the outdoor patio gets well-used in Tampa's approximately eleven months of decent weather.
