The Best Seafood Near Terracotta, by the Record

  1. Rank 4. Ca' 7

    Seafood

  2. Rank 6. Da Odino

    Venetian Seafood

  3. Rank 7. I Savi

    Traditional Seafood

  4. Sandrigo is the town that gave the world the bacalà alla vicentina festival, so it makes sense that a restaurant here has built its entire identity around cod. Palmerino serves the fish plain, salted, and dried, with the house centerpiece being that same local classic, made with stoccafisso despite what the name implies. A Michelin Bib Gourmand, the menu adds other seafood and a few meat dishes for the unconvinced.

  5. The restaurant sits beside a cinema-theatre on a quiet stretch of Mirano, and the fish on your plate came off the boat that morning. It's a casual, neighborhood seafood trattoria rooted in the Venetian lagoon tradition, the kind of place where the recipes haven't changed because there's no reason they should. The pannacotta with fresh strawberry sauce is a regular on the menu. The Michelin Guide awarded it a Bib Gourmand, and the wine-by-the-glass list is chosen to keep pace with the food.

  6. Rank 11. Soprattutto

    Classic Seafood

A family-run seafood trattoria in a small town outside Venice where the husband left metalworking for the kitchen and never looked back. The menu leans into classic fish preparations, simply done with good ingredients, and the wife runs the room with the ease of someone who knows every table by name. Regulars pack it out most nights, so book ahead or prepare to watch someone else eat your fish.

  7. Rank 13. Al Gatto Nero

    Venetian Seafood

  8. A white-on-white dining room a few blocks from the Jesolo seafront, where the kitchen leans hard into the grill and the catch comes in daily. This is a sit-down seafood restaurant, tablecloths and all, run by a couple who have been at it for decades and still work the floor themselves. In summer, a garden bar softens the formality. The family tends a kitchen garden on Sant'Erasmo, the vegetable island in the Venetian lagoon.

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. It runs on the scored places nearby: more good stuff within reach, higher score. If it looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
