The Best Steakhouses Near 80/20, by the Record

  1. Rank 1. Scarlett

    Steakhouse

The grill is the centerpiece of the open kitchen on the 37th floor of the Pullman, which tells you exactly where to focus. Scarlett is a rooftop restaurant with a broad European menu, city views, cocktails, and a cheese counter for good measure, but the fire-cooked meats and seafood are the reason people come. Australian steaks and whatever fish the kitchen is running that night keep things simple and worth the elevator ride up.

  2. Dark wood, oversized leather chairs, and monochrome shots of US cities set the scene at this classic hotel steakhouse on the second floor of the JW Marriott. Cuts come from the US, Australia, and Japan, and the service team knows enough to talk you through them. The Caesar is tossed tableside, and the Bomb Alaska arrives with a little theatre to close things out.

Eat Score

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. It runs on the scored places nearby: more good stuff within reach, higher score. If it looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
