The Best Steakhouses Near Utsubohommachi Gaku, by the Record

  1. Rank 1. Kitashinchi Fukutatei The UKAI

    Japanese Black Steakhouse

  2. Rank 2. Le14e

    Steakhouse

A French restaurant named after Paris's 14th arrondissement, where a famous meat bistro once changed the chef's mind about what beef could be. The wagyu here is lean and grassy, seasoned with nothing but salt and pepper, then pan-fried in so much oil it borders on a deep-fry, which is exactly the point. Producers' signs cover the walls, organic red pours freely, and the whole thing has the cheerful conviction of a place that decided simplicity was enough.

Eat Score

The score comes from the awards it's won, weighted by who gave them: a Michelin star outweighs a listicle. When you sort by what's nearby, distance changes the order, never the score.

          Best Place Score

The Best Place Score rates the area around a point, not any one place. Most of it is the record: the scored places within reach, weighed by distance, so more good stuff nearby means a higher score. The rest is how life is in that country and what it's like right there: how people rate their own lives, how long and how well they live, how safe they are, the air, and the weather. If it looks low, we probably haven't found enough critics out here yet.
