1863 Restaurant
Modern British
A former village blacksmith's forge in the heart of Pooley Bridge, now a bistro-style restaurant doing modern British cooking with real conviction. The menu leans on Cumbrian lamb, beef, and Cartmel Valley venison, presented with enough polish to justify a tasting menu option but not so much that it feels precious. Eight rooms upstairs mean dinner can blur into a proper overnight stay.
