    The old Imperial Post and Telegraph offices next to the central rail station make a fittingly grand shell for a hotel that refuses to take grandeur seriously. Bold color, knotty wood, retro subway tile, and ornate wallpaper collide in cheerful postmodern chaos, and rooms range from honestly compact box-rooms up to proper suites. The restaurant leans into Arab, Moroccan, and Turkish soul food, and the Boilerman Bar keeps guests and locals together well past midnight.
