Swabian German
An old jukebox in the corner sets the tone at this snug village inn, where a father-and-son kitchen turns out proper Swabian cooking alongside the occasional pan-fried monkfish or wild garlic risotto. The proprietress, a warm Styrian host, runs the front with genuine ease. House-made Maultaschen are the kind of thing regulars come back for, and the place produces its own schnapps, which tells you something about priorities.
