The only hotel inside Hamburg's UNESCO-listed Speicherstadt warehouse district, a listed landmark building that mixes Art Deco with mid-century modernism inside rooms done up in hardwoods, leather, and saturated Sixties colors. Smaller rooms are snug; higher floors open onto canal views. The restaurant sits across the water, reached by an elevated walkway, and serves Italian food, which nobody seems to have flagged as strange.
