The Sir Hotels brand plants its Hamburg flag on the Nikolaifleet canal, between the old Altstadt and the redeveloped HafenCity waterfront, in a luxury boutique hotel that leans into an aristocratic theme without taking itself too seriously. Ninety-four rooms run from compact to genuinely roomy, all with Marshall sound systems and considered details throughout. The in-house restaurant is Japanese-Peruvian, which Hamburg did not ask for and now apparently needs.
