The Lisbeth sits on one of Hamburg's oldest streets, all Hanseatic cobblestones and canal-side atmosphere, which makes the relaxed, intimate room inside feel like a bit of a plot twist. It holds a Michelin star and earns it through a set menu the chef calls a "Hamburg Renaissance," taking North German classics somewhere more interesting without losing the thread. Fine dining, but the mood is unhurried rather than stiff.
