    Staggered Hanseatic brick lines the canal-facing façade of this four-star business hotel on the Fleetinsel, where the Alsterfleet does most of the decorating through the windows. Inside it's sleek minimalism with a faint Buddhist thread running through the lobby artwork, which is a choice. Rooms lean mid-century in their furnishings and lean hard on recessed lighting. The canals, the old town, and most things worth walking to are just outside.
