    Stone streets and a medieval village setting make Ar Maen Hir feel like it could be very precious indeed, but the room is loose and bistro-warm, with a kitchen that seems more interested in Brittany than in impressing anyone. The cooking is rooted in the region, crêpes and local poultry finding their way into dishes that have more technique behind them than the relaxed atmosphere suggests.
