An old machine factory on the edge of town turns out to be a fitting metaphor: ARO runs on craft. The room keeps the industrial bones, exposed ducting and all, softened by black wooden furniture and hand-sketched drawings pinned to chipboard. A three- or seven-course menu gives the kitchen room to get playful with sharp, characterful cooking. The vibe is easier than you might expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant, and that's the whole point.
