The inglenook fireplace in this old red-brick house in Amersham's market square does a lot to set the mood before the food takes over. This is a Michelin-starred modern British restaurant where the kitchen leans hard into the seasons, the menus shift accordingly, and the cooking has an understated precision that doesn't announce itself until you're halfway through a dish wondering how it got so good.
