A red brick house and a half-timbered longhouse sit at the edge of a Norman village, and together they make up this small, quietly lovely country hotel. Rooms spread across the two buildings and a garden cottage, all done in a rustic vein but finished with enough care and contemporary detail to keep roughing it feeling like a stretch. There's a warm restaurant, massages if you need them, and forested countryside beyond the garden for everyone else.
