Bowleys at The Plough
Modern British
The village of Trottiscliffe bought its own pub back from property developers, which makes Bowleys a Modern British restaurant with an unusually compelling origin story. The Yates family now runs the small dining room, turning out a concise menu of classically grounded, ambitious plates built around local produce, some of it their own. Even the butter is made in-house, which tells you something about how seriously they take the details here.
