    A Thai architect looked to Sri Lanka's pre-modernist past rather than the Geoffrey Bawa playbook everyone else follows on this island, and the result is a clifftop resort that feels genuinely its own thing. Freestanding villas sit a hundred feet above the Indian Ocean, each clustered around a private pool, with the crescent-shaped Moon Pool for adults and the Atlas restaurant's panoramic views for everyone. The Michelin Guide awarded it one Key.
