Six villas on Sri Lanka's southern coast, each one designed around a different beach from somewhere else in the world, which is a very quiet way to announce ambitions. The Six Weligama is a boutique resort that skips a restaurant entirely, sending a private chef instead, cooking pan-Asian dishes from fish that local boats landed that morning. A resident mixologist and a butler round out the retinue. From December through May, turtle hatchlings share the beach.
