Patricia Urquiola turned 116 rooms and every corridor of this 1950s Rationalist building into something that reads as a design museum you can sleep in. The hotel sits on a quiet piazza a short walk from La Scala, which manages to be both central Milan and genuinely calm. Saturated color, geometric pattern, and serious vintage pieces fill the spaces without tipping into showroom stiffness. A rooftop bar keeps things from getting too reverential.
