    Architect Alberto Kalach's arched concrete volumes sit a few yards from the beach on Puerto Escondido's south end, and the rough-luxe interiors are by a Mexico City studio with an eye for beautiful austerity. Casona Sforza is an adults-only boutique hotel with eleven rooms, a Michelin Key, and a restaurant pulling from hyper-local Oaxacan ingredients with French technique folded in. Surfing lessons and open-water dolphin-watching are available for those who didn't come just to lie still.
