    A medieval castle with two thick towers rising from the Loire's south bank, its orangery half-carved into the hillside and its terrace looking out over formal gardens. This is a Michelin-starred dining room where the kitchen leans into the season, pairing local foie gras and wild garlic with Vouvray wine in ways that feel grounded in the valley rather than performed for it. The Loire's old idea of gracious living, taken seriously.
