Cheal's
Modern British
A model Spitfire hangs from the ceiling and Union Jacks line the curtains, so nobody's leaving confused about the theme. This is a polished modern British restaurant in a half-timbered Knowle building, running fixed-price and tasting menus built around prime British produce. The adjoining Warren's Bar does small plates if you'd rather keep things lighter, which is a genuinely useful option when the tasting menu commitment feels like a lot on a Tuesday.
