A Cotswolds country-house hotel with a Parisian makeover, where the story goes that Lewis Carroll first met Alice Liddell. The Experimental Group has since installed a Dorothée Meilichzon interior that blends Italianate grandeur with French cool and the odd Wonderland wink. Thirty-six rooms run from cozy to full four-poster-and-terrace, the Experimental Cocktail Club runs the bar, and the C-Side spa has a spectacular glass-walled pool. It holds a Michelin Key.
