Da Gianfranco
Italian
A restaurant where salt cod gets its own dedicated menu, sharing the room with serious meat cookery, is a fairly confident statement of priorities. The chef comes from a family of butchers and spent years cooking in a hill town whose annual festival is devoted entirely to baccalà, so the obsessions here run deep. The space is calm and tucked away from the seafront, the kind of place where you eat what the cook actually believes in.
