A converted farmhouse on the edge of the city, with a garden terrace that fills up the moment the weather allows. This is a proper French restaurant, the kind where a veal sweetbread gets fried to a precise golden brown and finished with sauce Périgueux, but where five-spice might turn up on the venison just to keep things interesting. The wine list is carefully chosen, and the room has been looked after long enough to feel settled rather than self-conscious.
