Three buildings stitched together by Italian architect Piero Lissoni, the Dorothea is a design hotel in Budapest's inner city that takes its name from a 19th-century archduchess the Hungarians genuinely adored. The grand atrium sets the tone, with colonnaded ceilings and large photographic female portraits overhead. Hungarian tilework, embroidered textiles, and carpet patterns woven throughout give the rooms a sense of place. A Michelin Guide Key.
