Durham Ox
British
A fire-roaring, eclectically decorated Yorkshire pub that's been around forever in a genuinely sleepy hamlet outside Crayke. The menu runs long and leans British, with hearty, unfussy cooking that changes with the seasons. In summer the courtyard earns its keep; in winter the bar stools near the hearth go fast. Cosy rooms upstairs mean you can order another round without doing the maths on the drive home.
